SA Crayfish (Rock Lobster) Lobster Pot                                                                                   Maintenance free plastic crayfish / lobster pots developed from the original designs tested and proven in the waters off the Cape.  This hexagonal pot features an integrated and secure bait box for easy working, moulded in attachments for ropes, a large entry top opening and, as with all polyethylene products, easy repair should it  (somehow) be  damaged...  Quantity orders only (100+) as we ship direct from the factory - this also makes the inclusion of lead weights a cost effective option - available with or without bait box.

Velvet Crab Creel                                                                                        Developed for the swimming crab fisheries of  northern Europe this creel has been designed for low maintenance. It is of a strong compound construction, has entries at either end, separate easy access door (opposite side to the integral bait box) moulded in handle and rope slots.                                                                     This creel has been demonstrated to be highly effective in targeting the important velvet crab sector where its overall design is suited to the fishing environment.

The triangular shape makes for secure easy stacking at sea or ashore. with weight of under 4 kg and very slight positive buoyancy the creel can be adjusted for use on a range of grounds by the addition of weights.

These ultra rugged rotomoulded pots are available in two sizes and come with a strong tie on point and the option of concrete or "concrete & steel" weighting.  They have a much longer lifespan than blowmoulded pots

Keep Boxes                                                   Having caught your crab or lobster you will wish to keep it in prime condition and Ivy Blue has some tough and simple solutions in the form of its keep box (comes in two sizes). For wet fish there are a selection of very strong rota-moulded fish boxes, self draining and nest stacking. not as cheap as injection produced but tougher and with the option of mould in graphics and electronic tags. 

If there is not a box or bin to suit your particular requirements then our in house industrial l designers can produce three dimensional images, prototypes and technical specifications in line with your custom demands. The container that you need can be yours without placing  orders for thousands of units to justify the expense. 

This 55 litre lidded box was specifically developed for use on freezer trawlers. It has a grid of locating pegs moulded into the lid with a corresponding set of insets on the base that allow boxes to be securely stacked offset and following the curvature of the hull. This maximises hold capacity whilst simultaneously weathering the blast freezer temperatures.
